Violin Bruno – Guadagnini Model
Description
Named simply *Bruno*, this violin embraces warmth and elegance in both sound and appearance. Its name recalls a personal and intimate connection – perhaps a tribute, or simply a reflection of the instrument’s earthy character and brown varnish.
Handcrafted entirely by Luca Zerilli in Udine, *Bruno* follows the Guadagnini model. The top is made of Italian red spruce of excellent quality, with a straight and regular grain. The one-piece back is carved from European maple with a medium-tight and deep flame.
The varnish is a rich antique-style brown, subtly shaded to enhance the wood’s figure.
Acoustic character:
This violin responds easily to the bow, offering a warm, round tone with plenty of color. The lower strings are velvety and deep, while the upper register has a soft brilliance that sings without harshness. Ideal for musicians who seek a nuanced and expressive instrument.
*Bruno* is a one-of-a-kind violin, crafted entirely in the Liuteria Zerilli workshop in Udine.
