Violin Budapest – Guadagnini Model
Description
Named after the romantic and historically rich capital of Hungary, the *Budapest* violin carries a voice as full of contrast and color as the city itself. Inspired by the musical traditions that echo along the Danube, this instrument was created to sing with soul and power.
Built entirely by Luca Zerilli in his workshop in Udine, *Budapest* follows the Guadagnini model. The top is made of premium Italian red spruce with a straight, even grain. Its two-piece back is cut from European maple, tightly flamed and deeply figured, giving it a striking visual depth.
The varnish is a rich antique brown, applied by hand to enhance the wood’s natural beauty and to give the violin a matured, elegant appearance.
Acoustic character:
The sound of *Budapest* is warm and complex, with a broad lower register and a singing, lyrical upper range. It responds well to a light touch, but reveals its full personality under expressive bow pressure. An ideal companion for players who appreciate nuance and richness.
A unique instrument entirely handcrafted in Udine, Italy, by Luca Zerilli.
